The Dream is clean!

My sweet and thoughtful son-in-law, Stacy, came to my house on Saturday, drove my car to his house and cleaned it up inside and out!

The Dream received a hand wash and a wax! It looks brand new! I love driving a clean car!

Thank you, Stacy, for being so thoughtful and taking care of The Dream...

we both appreciate you!

:)

Love you!

Johnny, my sweet son-in-law

Kyle and Johnny

Have I ever told you how proud I am of my son-in-law?

Well, I am very proud of Johnny Van!

He is a very good husband to my daughter, Portia, and he is very dedicated to his studies as a dental student (soon to be doctor), but that is not why I am most proud of him...he is even more dedicated to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
He and Kyle recently attended Central Baptist Church with J.B. (Johnny's mentor) to introduce Downline Ministries; a discipleship ministry which teaches the fundamental practices of how to minister to others; a Great Commission lifestyle.
I was at the ballpark last week and was told how inspiring J.B., Johnny and Kyle were to the men's Sunday school class. "What a wonderful thing those boys are doing" was one comment. I swelled with pride and joy that Johnny is mine! I also said a prayer thanking God for a wonderful addition to our family. Johnny will graduate soon from the UT Dental School and become a successful doctor one day but I will never be more proud of him than I was listening to someone talk about his faith, dedication, and love for the Lord.
I love you, Johnny Van!

Farewell Sunshine Girl...

We left Decatur, AL without monkey, without bunny blanket and without our sunshine girl.
But, we left her in God's hands and with a band of angels surrounding her.
We will see her again very soon and we can't wait for kisses and hugs...and that smile, that sweet smile...

Road Trip to Alabama

Madi doesn't travel without monkey!
Madi is pretending her pen is a phone, "Hello, Tandi"
Writing a letter to Portia and Tandi
"I love my bunny blanket"
We left around 9:30 am headed to Decatur, AL. Madi watched her movies, played with her monkey, loved her blanket, and wrote a letter to Portia and Tandi before she had a meltdown. She was tired of riding! I had to get her out of her carseat to get her to sleep. When we arrived at Shelby's she was snoozing. I was glad she had a nap prior to our arrival; makes for a much happier baby!

Suppertime at Pa's House

Madi had a full day and has gone to sleep on the 4-wheeler
Poppie and Madi take a walk to see the cows
Beautiful Sunshine girl...

Pa & MamMaw cooked garden vegetables for everyone on Saturday night. It was a chance for everyone to say good-bye to Madi Lynn. It was a difficult, sad evening for everyone.

Yard Sale

Madi and I spent the day at Pa & MamMaw's yard sale. Madi enjoyed spending time with everyone, swinging and riding the 4-wheeler. It was a hot day but we enjoyed meeting people from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas...people must really love yard sales to travel that far!
