Pretty Polka Dot Girl

Grammie's Big Helper

Look what a sweet helper...carrying in groceries! I think it's actually our lunch; deli chicken. We had a pot of pintos waiting for us! Madi loves pintos but they don't love her. She sounded like a cannon later in the evening! Never knew such a loud noise could come from such a little person! :)

Making Banana Bread

Madi and I did a little baking on Saturday. We made two loaves of delicious banana bread. She loves to stand in the chair and "help" me! Here she is stirring the batter and she even does a taste test before baking; doesn't every good cook? Let's just say that I couldn't have done it without her!

Playing in the Rain!

It came a short rain shower while we were visiting Pa & MamMaw. I couldn't resist letting Madi run around the yard while it was raining. She couldn't figure out what was happening. It was such a joy to watch her run, smile, and laugh and have such a good time.

The Diaper Dilemma

MADI: "Tandi, what is this I'm wearing?"
TANDI: "Well, Madi, it looks like one of Stacy's t-shirts! Grammie left you here with me WITHOUT a diaper!"
Oops! I left in such a hurry that I didn't even think about the diaper bag. Luckily, I didn't go far and I wasn't gone long. Just goes to show you that in a bind, you can get creative!

Pretty Pink Toes

Mmmm, Good Dirt!

Madi tried dirt for the first time today! It must have been pretty good because she went back for more. I taught her how to spit too! She bends way over to spit, it's cute! She is a true country girl.

Madi after bath time

After her bath every night, Madi runs down the hallway to blow her hair dry. She opens the drawer and gets the combs; one for her and one for me! She stands in the shower while I blow her hair dry! She is facinated with the shower for some reason! Check out that wild hair!

Madi's Doll Cradle

Portia sent Madi a baby cradle from Memphis! It even rocks! She wanted to put everything in it; including herself at one point! She loves it, Portia. Thank you!

Summertime Fun!

Madi is so tickled to be eating watermelon. It is refreshing after the 4-wheeler ride with Pa. She is wearing a good portion of it! By the way, this outfit is ruined with stains. Next time I'll know to strip her down to nothing but a diaper!

Mooooo Cow

Madi absolutely loves Pa's cows! She knows when we pull into Pa and MamMaw's driveway and she squeals with excitement. She knows there is a lot of fun ahead such as petting the bull calf, riding the 4-wheeler, gathering the eggs, etc. etc. She is a real country girl!

Church Baby

What a pretty girl...all dressed up and ready to sing and worship the Lord at church. Madi enjoys church! I think singing is her favorite part. She claps and even does a little dance sometimes.

Saturday = FUN

Our typical Saturday includes a little driveway shopping (rock collecting) and then some relaxation in the pool. A perfect day in the life of a 16 month old! I say a delightful day...that's for sure!

Madi ROCKS

Madi LOVES to play in the rocks and dirt. It's our ritual on a daily basis to go outside and play in the rocks (landscaping) and dirt. She's taking a break from digging to relax a minute in the over turned bird bath.

Greg helped Pa get in hay since he was down with a kidney stone. Madi loved watching the tractor when she wasn't eating gooseberries! She loves to pick them right off the vine and eat them.
