After church we went to Pa & MamMaw's house for lunch. It was a beautiful spring day with lots of sunshine and warm air. A perfect day to be outside! The kids loved every minute of it. They rode Trixie the pony, Pa's motorcycle, the 4-wheeler and the wagon.

Happy, happy birthday to Madi!
We were sooo privileged to have Madi here on her actual happy birthday! These pictures are before we left the house for her happy birthday party. She looks so beautiful in her princess crown and pink lipstick. :) It is so mind boggling that she is 5 years old! It seems like yesterday that she was just turning one.
Madi designed her cake all by herself. She wanted an owl cake with a bumble bee for her, a ladybug with blue spots for Brady and a Nemo fish for Sadie bug. The cake turned out wonderful! Thank you Suzie!

Best friends...Madi, Brady and Sadie
Madi's party was held at her favorite restaurant, Zaxby's. It was a cold night so we pretty much had the entire restaurant to ourselves. It worked out great!
Happy Birthday to the sweetest girl in the whole wide world!
We love you, Madi Lynn!

Monday all day
Madi didn't want to get up this morning. I don't blame her. I didn't want to get up either. I took her to Christy's house in her pj's. She was the only one there wearing pj's. Note to Self: put Madi's clothes on before leaving the house. I had a list of "to do's" today and luckily I got to cross off a few of them. I finally made it to VF during my lunch to get Peggy's undies. She called me Thursday and asked me to send her some. I got them shipped UPS so hopefully she will get them delivered tomorrow. I don't really understand how/what happened to her panties that during a wash cycle the detergent would cause them to have a stale/gross odor. Tandi said that she could think of some possibilities and theories but I don't even want to hear them! I'll let her discuss those with Peggy! I got the Dish receiver shipped FedEx too. I'd hate to be charged for it. I called Dish to complain and got free movie channels for three months. YAY!
After I picked up Madi, we went to get Sadie from her school. She was so excited to see us! Love her squeals! Then, we went to Kroger for something to grill for supper. I ended up with chicken. It was on sale. Poppie got home early tonight and got to eat supper with us. He and Madi ate outside on the deck. Sadie was so tired and whiney. I put her down for a quick nap so she slept through supper.
Greg went to see Alton after supper. I opened the bedroom door so the noise (Madi) would wake up Sadie but she never woke. Tandi got back from her Bible study at 7:45 and Sadie was still snoozing. I don't think Tandi was very happy with me. I was just trying to help Stacy out tonight...now Sadie will be up when he gets home and they can play! That was my logic and excuse anyway.
Madi went to bed at 8:30 and was asleep by 9. Poppie got home at 9:15.
I tried to record some movies and search movie options and the new receiver is not working properly. So, another call to Dish and they are shipping another receiver to me. Unbelievable! Maybe that means an extra three months of free movie channels!

Fun at the Knoxville Zoo
I was getting ready to hop in the shower to get ready for church this morning but I got a text from Tandi inviting me and Madi to go to the Knoxville Zoo. I asked Madi what she wanted to do and well, duh! So, we hurried and got ready to go visit the animals. The weather was perfect; overcast, cool and breezy. A lot of the animals were sleeping. It was after lunch so their bellies were full. We made our way around the whole zoo and when we reached the exit, I was thrilled! Of all the times, Madi wanted to ride in her stroller practically the whole time so this Grammie was a little tired. Poor Sadie bug was exhausted too and was asleep within minutes of getting in the vehicle. We stopped in Knoxville at Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch/early supper. Stacy got to hold Sadie during his meal while she snoozed away. When we got home, Stacy took my car to Johnny's office to get his teeth tightened up. Those six months smile braces are beginning to look more like eight or ten months smile! We played outside until the girls were so dirty from Poppie's dirt and rocks they had to go straight to the bathtub. When I pulled Madi's shorts and panties off dirt fell all over the floor. Nice! I was on the phone in the garage when Tandi came running out to report that Madi had bit Sadie on the foot! That made me furious! I took Madi straight to her room and gave her a talking. I called Tandi on her cell phone and tried to get Madi to apologize to her and Sadie but she was too upset to even talk. I put her to bed without singing, scratching her back or any attention. I think that was punishment in itself. She cried and hollered for me for at least thirty minutes. She finally went to sleep at 9 pm. I hate Madi put a damper on such a fun day. Poppie got home at 9:15 from the pea field. Bless him!
Madi petting the camel
What a big girl riding the camel! I was pleasantly surprised that she would ride, alone!
Sadie is not too sure about that hairy monster staring at her!
Madi wants to be an "animal doctor" when she grows up!
When we got home it was play time
How sweet...Madi is wiping Sadie's snotty nose!
Dirt is so much fun!

Brady
Brady loves to be outside.
His favorite thing to do is push something around.
It's usually his Cozy Coupe that he pushes at home but at Poppie's house it's the wagon.
Funny boy!

Easter egg hunt 2012
We took the kids to Central's egg hunt. We got there too late for the actual hunt but we had one of our own. There were cute running around looking for eggs. Remember why the egg represents Easter? "It's the most deadly thing that life comes from." My daddy would ask me this every year. So now I ask my girls!

Weekend with Brady
Two phones?
Sadie getting ready to play with Brady's ear
Maybe the ear playing was a distraction for the grab!
Sweet cousins playing in their favorite spot
Johnny and Portia went out of town for the weekend so Brady got to stay with Poppie and Grammie. We had so much fun! Brady is such a sweet boy and look at that adorable face!
